Dr. Andrew Graves is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He performed his undergraduate studies at Boston University before attending dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. He was awarded his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1994. In 1997, he received certificates of residency from both the VA Hospital and the UAB School of Dentistry. Dr. Graves has also served as a full-time faculty member at UAB dental school.
Dr. Graves was in solo practice for 6 years before joining forces with Dr. James Mills in 2003; together they formed Endodontic Partners of West Alabama. Dr. Graves is a member of various professional organizations and serves in leadership positions. He has active membership in the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Endodontic Association of Alabama and the Sixth District Dental Society. Dr. Graves is also a founding patron and supporter of the humanitarian Good Samaritan Dental Clinic. Dr. Graves’ practice philosophy emphasizes treating people as he himself would want to be treated: providing state-of-the-art care, conservative treatment, honest and engaging communication, and a gentle chairside manner.
When Dr. Graves is not serving the people of Tuscaloosa in clinical practice, he enjoys spending quality time with his dear wife and family. He also enjoys reading, playing piano, and participating in outdoor activities. Dr. Graves and his family live by faith and are active members in their church.
